Kahori Kamiya was born in Nagoya, Japan and moved to New York, where she
received her MFA in fine art from the School of Visual Arts.
Her works have been exhibited nationally and internationally in New York, Los Angeles,
Houston, Berlin, Montreal, Warsaw, Moscow, Ukraine(Kiev), Estonia, Thailand, and Japan.
In 2010, Kamiya was a winner of “Top 40”of the Los Angeles Center for Digital Art in LA.
Also, her video works are screened at the International film and video festivals,
such as Independent Exposure, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, TX,
Freedom Sparks International Film & Video Festival, Montreal, Canada, and the 7th Berlin
International Directors Lounge, Berlin, German. In summer of 2011, her videos are shown
at the 14th Media Art Biennale “Alternative Now”, National Museum in Warsaw, Poland
and Pärnu International Film & Video Festival, Pärnu, Estonia.
